Our Story — About Us

Built on Craftsmanship. Driven by Purpose.

Opal General Contracting Group, LLC was founded in 2024 — but our story started long before that. For over two decades, our team has been building, renovating, and finishing some of Southeast Michigan's most demanding commercial and institutional spaces through Vivid Millwork & Carpentry, delivering custom millwork installations for clients ranging from the Detroit Lions Pro Shop at Ford Field to the Lt. Colonel Charles S. Kettles VA Medical Center in Ann Arbor.

That work — precise, professional, and always on time — taught us what it takes to earn trust in this industry. It also showed us an opportunity: to take those same standards of craft and accountability and bring them to a wider range of clients as a full-service general contractor.

OPAL was established to do exactly that. Our name reflects what we believe construction should be — multi-faceted, resilient, and built to last. We are a Michigan-based, women-owned general contracting firm committed to serving commercial property owners, municipalities, healthcare facilities, and institutional clients who need a contractor they can count on.
